Sit Spot Stickers
With this idea, I hope to celebrate nature observations and encourage designing outdoor home spaces in ways that support local wildlife.
A sit spot is a place in nature that you visit regularly. Sitting in one spot over time can help you notice, wonder, figure out patterns, expand your senses, and better understand and appreciate the land. A sit spot can be anywhere- even looking out a window!
When you sit in your spot, you might take pictures or draw what you observe. That is how Sit Spot Stickers came to be! I have seen all of these creatures in my favorite sit spots around St. Louis.
In the past, I sold these sticker packs in local shops. I am currently on hiatus from that, but open to future collaborations!
Two unique sticker packs
These are my first Sit Spot sticker packs- I am happy to make others based on my art, so please inquire if you are interested! I can also commission packs if you have your own idea.
Back of the card education
Each card contains information about what a sit spot is, the organisms, and how to attract them to your own sit spot. It encourages noticing, wondering, and caring for our natural world by planting food sources to support the ecosystem.
Reusable bookmark
Instead of throwing the pack card away, I designed it in hopes that the consumer will save the card as a bookmark. The front features outlines of henbit plants with a message about local sit spots.
